Electric Wire Steering Coming Soon from Jefa Steering

Jefa Steering has developed a new electric wire steering system, offering customers an easy to install wheel complete with all controls and components included.

The system can be standalone or installed between an existing autopilot and a Jefa Drive Unit. As you only need electrical wire connecting the wheel to the drive units, it makes for a very simple install and is ideal for those looking for an additional steering position.

“We have worked to develop and bring to market a high-end low-cost solution on electric steering,” Comments Klaus Jeppsen, Systems developer at Jefa Steering. “The whole system saves weight and space due to no large parts needing to be positioned near the steering system.”
The system is designed for keelboats and small yachts where a mechanical system is not suited, LOA 20ft to 45ft. It offers a light steering solution where a tiller pin is used, and it allows for greater flexibility when looking to reposition your steering.
